Mardi Gras
March 6-9, 2008
The 2008 Space Coast Mardi Gras event is scheduled for March 6-9, 2008. This event is hosted by the City of Cocoa & Cocoa Main Street. The Historic Cocoa Village Association (HCVA) and its merchants in Cocoa Village have absolutely no control over this event.
For specific Mardi Gras information regarding sponsorship, ticket requirements, informational meetings and event entertainment, please contact: City of Cocoa, Leisure Services (321) 639-3500, Cocoa Main Street (321) 633-0806.
Please be aware that the streets will be closed to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic between 5:00 pm and Midnight on Saturday evening, 8 March 2008". There is an admission ticket required to enter the gated areas ofCocoa Village during that time. The merchants will remain open for business during regular business hours during he duration of Mardi Gras. Stay an hour, stay the day, discover Cocoa Village.
Merchant Note. We received information that the Streets will only be closed on the traditional "Street Party" day, Saturday, March 8th but does last four days, March 6-9. There are 3 open meetings scheduled to keep merchants and other interested parties informed concerning Mardi Gras. The meetings will all be held at the Civic center, 6pm on Wednesdays. Those dates are January 23rd, February 13th and February 27th.
