After living and having a business in the village for several years, Kathy of Kathy\x92s Reflections of the Past and husband Larry will be closing her shop and selling their home on Delannoy Avenue, to move to New York to start a new adventure, and be closer to some of the grandchildren while they\x92re still young. Kathy worked at the former Country Life for 13 years before leaving there to start her own business on Grove Street in Merritt Island. After being on Merritt Island for about two and a half years, she moved to Florida Avenue next to the El Charro restaurant, after about two years at that location, she moved to where she has been for the last few years. Kathy has made lots of friends over the years and would like to thank everyone for their business and friendship along the way. The shop will be closing between now and the end of September. So, come on in and get a head start on your holiday shopping and save some money at the same time, they\x92ll be here before you know it! Everything is 50% off original price, excluding the furniture, which is already sale priced.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Annual Opal Show at Jon\x92s Fine Jewelry. This exciting event is being held Saturday, October 27th from 9:30 am \x96 5:00 pm. Roger Pearman, Australian Opal Expert, will be showing many loose opals and unique opal jewelry. He will also be available to answer questions. So mark your calendars and plan to stop by and say hi to Roger and your friends at Jon\x92s Fine Jewelry.
Miss Bailey's Curiosity Shop in the Threadneedle Mall will be closed most of September for a buying trip. Be sure to go by when Diana gets back to see all the wonderful treasures she has brought back.
November will be here before you know it and that means the fall Gallery Walk. This year the Walk will be on November 4th, from 6 9 pm. Most stores will be open late for this event.

The Cub Scout troop at St. Mary\x92s Catholic Community in Rockledge is learning about flag etiquette. The boys are learning the proper way to display our flag and the proper way to dispose of flags that have become worn or damaged. If you have an American flag that is worn or damaged you can drop them off at the Cocoa Village Publishing office inside the Almost Antiques Mall on Florida Ave. There are numerous website on how to care for the flag and the proper way to diplay it.
