There are several shops that have moved to new locations in the Village. First of all Woods and Water has moved into Sand and Sea located at 304 Brevard Ave. In the Threadneedle Mall Miss Bailey’s Curiosity Shoppe has moved in with The Black Dog Gallery. New to the Threadneedle Mall is Flip Flop Shoppe “N” More. The shop carries brand name flip flops and some accessories.

At the south end of the Village Pink N Chic has moved into where Snickerpoodles was on Maryland Ave. They are a boutique specializing in Shabby Chic furniture and accessories. Custom orders are accepted.Bailey’s Jewelry on the corner of Brevard Ave. and Harrison St. has closed.

The Bath Cottage is celebrating their 31st anniversary in April and they are planning month long specials. Go by and congratulate Jan, Theresa and their wonderful staff.

Have you been by Whatnot’s General Store on Delannoy Ave? Shannon got the idea to open a general store while working to open an antique shop. She carries groceries and other items and is opening a food bar soon. She will be offering boxed lunches (please call ahead for large quantities).

The Cocoa Village Farmer’s Market is back! It is on Wednesdays from 10-4, weather permitting, in the Gazebo on Brevard Avenue. This Farmer’s Market offers consumables only, no retail merchandise. It is turning into a gourmet type market. There are lunch options being offered if you go by during your lunch time. Currently the plans are to continue the Cocoa Village Farmer’s Market year-round.

The Florida Historical Society located on Brevard Ave is continuing their Saturday Lecture Series. The series features Florida authors.

The Friends of the Central Brevard Library is holding their annual Spring Book Sale April 4 – 6. The library is located at 308 Forrest Ave There will be a Members Only Sale on Thursday, April 3, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The hours for the public sale are: Friday, 9:00 am. – 4:30 p.m., Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. In addition to the many categories of paperback and hardback books they have a wonderful collection of Gardening books. They also have Cds, tapes, vintage records and hundreds of videos. Don’t forget to purchase a Friends of the Library book bag for just $5.
