Porcher House

Historic Porcher House One of the most historic buildings is the Porcher House. The Porcher family were Brevard's largest citrus growers, and Mr. Porcher was the first to wash, inspect and grade his citrus crop. His wife had her own career as the first postmistress of Merritt Island. The house has been fully restored and may be rented for weddings and other catered events.

There is nowhere more romantic and elegant than Porcher House for such a special occasion as your wedding or wedding reception. The ambiance and atmosphere offer a setting so very special that there is no place to compare or compete in this area.

In the heart of Cocoa's established Historic District, the Porcher House is open to the community to enjoy as a special place for meetings, weddings, parties, luncheons, afternoon teas and card parties. The second floor of the house is leased as office space to local businesses. The house is open daily, Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Evenings and weekends are reserved for special events.

The Porcher House was built in 1916 by Edward Postell Porcher and designed by his wife Byrnina M. Peck. Mr. Porcher was a pioneer in the citrus industry and is credited with being the first to wash, grade and inspect fruit. Mrs. Porcher was the first Postmistress of Merritt Island. The house is included on the National Register of Historic Places.

We know how to host functions others only dream about. Anniversaries, christenings, showers, rehearsal dinners, retirement or engagement parties. . . whatever the celebration! The Porcher House can accommodate up to 200 people and seat up to 80.

We've thought of everything. Linens, lace, stemware, china, caterers, florists, photographers, tents, and so much more.
Wrap Yourself in the Warmth of this Old House.
